For dogs and cats, purebred or not
The right mate for your dog or cat.

How it works
Create the profile. Species, sex, breed (mixed or unspecified is fine), age, temperament, health tests and up to six photos.
See who is nearby. Heritail shows you pets of the same species and the opposite sex in your area. Like the ones you think are a good fit.
Talk after the match. Chat opens only when the other owner has liked back. Until then nobody can message you.
Check it yourself. In chat, either owner can share their pet's registration number, to be looked up on the registry's own website.
Your pedigree stays yours
You can upload your pet's pedigree. The document stays private: an automated system reads it and compares name, breed, sex and date of birth with the profile. If they match, the profile gets the "Document checked" badge. Other people see the badge, never the document.
The badge is not a certification and is not issued by ENCI, ANFI or any other registry. It says one thing: a document was uploaded and the data read from it matches the profile. That is why, after a match, you can ask for the registration number and look it up on the registry's official website.
The file is deleted after 30 days.

A showcase for breeders
With the Breeder plan you publish your litters: parents, date of birth, number of males and females, how many are still available. People who are interested message you in chat.
Listings carry no prices and no puppy or kitten is paid for in the app. Litters cannot leave before 60 days, and Heritail shows the date from which they are ready.

A few clear rules
Approximate location.
Others see only the distance in kilometres, never your address.
Checked photos.
Every photo goes through an automated check before it is published. You can report and block anyone.
Animals first.
Only adult, healthy animals, and no mating between close relatives. Accounts that break the rules are removed.
Plans
Heritail is free to use. Paid plans remove the limits and the ads; prices are in the app.

Frequently asked questions
My pet is a mixed breed. Can I use Heritail?
Yes. You can enter a breed, "mixed" or leave it unspecified, and choose whether to see other people's mixed-breed pets.
Do I have to upload a pedigree?
No, it is optional. Without a document the profile works the same, just without the badge.
Which registries does the check recognise?
For dogs: ENCI, other FCI clubs, the Kennel Club and AKC. For cats: ANFI, AFEF, ENFI, AGI, FIAF, FIFe, WCF, TICA, CFA and LOOF.
Can animals be sold?
Only in the Litters showcase, by people on the Breeder plan, and with no prices or payments in the app. Everywhere else in Heritail, offering or handing over animals is not allowed.
Who can see my location?
Nobody. Heritail stores a location rounded to about one kilometre and shows others only the distance.
How do I delete my account?
From your profile, at any time. Pets, photos, documents and conversations are deleted.
